I teach art because I am passionate about visual expression. I want to give students a voice and a platform to share their ideas and concerns. Art gives students the opportunity to express themselves in a multitude of ways. Art allows students the opportunity to communicate without barriers of language. I also continually look for ways to collaborate with core content area teachers to integrate art into their classrooms.
